The surroundings
Hotel Regina-Nina is located in the southeast of Corfu, near the small village of Vassilatika. The immediate surroundings of the hotel have a lot to offer and can be easily explored on foot or by bike.
It is only a few minutes to the old and touristically still largely untouched fishing village of Petriti. Every evening the small fishing boats leave here and supply the local taverns first, which can thus offer them freshly caught fish and seafood every day.
In Petriti you will also find small supermarkets, fresh fruits and vegetables and a pharmacy.
Also within walking distance of the hotel is the seaside village of Boukari, known in many guidebooks especially for its award-winning fish taverns.
Following the coastal road further south, you will come to Notos, whose pristine beach is very popular with many of our regular guests.
One of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the island can be found only about 5km from the hotel on the east side of the island. The beach of Marathias is recommended by many regular guests. Crystal clear water and not overcrowded even in high season.
In general, the surroundings of the hotel invite you to go for a walk. If you are not afraid to walk a little steeper terrain, you will be rewarded with an unforgettable view to the coast in Neohoraki. From here you can also see very nicely in which green frame the hotel Regina-Nina is embedded.
Corfu island
Our hotel is located in the southeast of Corfu, the „green pearl“ of Greece. Due to the high rainfall in the winter months, a sea of flowers unfolds in spring and offers green areas and fields until late summer. Over 4 million olive trees form small forests, provide shade and, together with the tall cypresses, shape the typical image of the island.
Corfu is full of sights. The size of the island allows to reach all of them comfortably and without hassle by day trip. Many can also be conveniently combined. At the hotel we will be happy to help you with individual planning, give you insider tips and help you book a rental car.
Special highlights include
- The monastery of Paleokastritsa
- The Pantokrator, the highest peak of the island with panoramic view to Albania
